As your skin heals after a stomach birth, it's common for it to feel sensitive, tender, and irritated. During the healing process, collagen thickens, often causing scars to appear raised and bumpy. Your scar may also differ in color from the surrounding skin, which is completely normal after a C-section. However, we understand that you may want to reduce the appearance of your scar, helping it fade and flatten as much as possible.

1. Wash your hands thoroughly.

2. Gently clean and dry your C-section scar.

3. Take the silicone strip out of the clear packet and carefully peel it from the plastic liner.

4. Apply the sticky side of the strip directly onto your scar, ensuring it covers the entire area.

5. Wear the silicone strip for at least 12 hours per day, and up to 23 hours for optimal results.

For additional guidance on caring for your strip, refer to the section titled "Caring For Your Silicone Strips"

Remove the silicone strip before bathing, showering, or swimming.
After each use, gently wash the strip in warm water and/or with non-perfumed soap—be careful not to overwash!
Allow the strip to air dry completely before reapplying.
Ensure it is fully dry before placing it back on your scar.
Reuse the silicone strip until it loses its stickiness, typically around two weeks, though this may vary.
The duration the strip stays sticky depends on your skin's oiliness.
The research recommends using silicone strips for at least 3 to 6 months post partum, with 12 months suggested for optimal results.
